Philanthropy

It is so great to see how many of you have done philanthropic work. I think that donating your time is perhaps one of the greatest gifts you can give to another. It is ironic because the root of volunteer work is GIVING, but I think you get a lot in return- it builds character, raises awareness and makes you appreciate the people and opportunities that you have.

On a separate note- thank you for your cooperation today with the unexpected blackout on campus. I am so impressed with all of you! So far, your comments and questions have been insightful and thoughtful and you all seem to be enjoying the experience of being college students.
